Silva & Vinha, S.A. subscribed to the BCSD Portugal Principles Charter, document that establishes the principles that constitute the guidelines for good corporate management. The Charter of Principles aims to create a voluntary framework tailored to companies of various dimensions in order to encourage the massification of sustainable management practices based on six principles: (1) Legal compliance & Ethical conduct, (2) Human rights, (3) Labor rights, (4) Prevention, health and safety, (5) Environment and (6) Management.
By subscribing to the Charter of Principles, Silva & Vinha, S.A. recognizes that sustainable management of companies is a factor of competitiveness. At the same time, Silva & Vinha, S.A. is inviting its suppliers to subscribe to the Charter of Principles, thus promoting the principles of sustainable management along its value chain.
The BCSD Portugal Charter of Principles is inspired by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work of the International Labor Organization and the United Nations Global Compact. It also encourages the reporting of non-financial information by companies that are not yet directly covered by Decree-Law no. 89/2017 of July 28 regarding the mandatory annual disclosure of non-financial information and information on diversity by certain large companies.

BCSD Portugal - Business Council for Sustainable Development, of which Silva & Vinha, SA is associated, aggregates and represents companies that are committed to sustainability and is one of the national dynamisers of the transition to a low carbon economy, which values ecosystems and that generates well-being in society.
